Polly-Esther
a Francophone female duo from Saskatchewan, whose original Francophone folk rock repertory brings together their vocal performance accompanied by Anique Granger on guitar and Rachel Duperreault on violin.
Polly-Esther’s trajectory has been marked by a number of highlights, including performances in Western Canada, in Quebec and in Europe, a special tour in Afghanistan for the Canadian troops posted there, and three recordings so far to their credit.
Their most recent album “Les cent pas” was produced by two big names in the music world: Charles Fairfield and Carl Bastien (winner of the 2002 Felix award from ADISQ for the production of Daniel Bélanger’s recording “Rêver mieux”). Just two months after its release, their recording won the 2002 Radio Canada Coup de Cœur francophone Galaxy network prize as well as the “Best Francophone recording of the year” at the Western Canadian Music Awards in 2003.
