Mark de Clive-Lowe
One of the real innovators in the nu-jazz realm is Mark de Clive-Lowe, the New Zealand-born musician/producer whose 10-year musical odyssey has resulted in eight albums, umpteen singles, remixes and two world tours. Currently based in the UK, de Clive-Lowe is a master at blending jazz, Latin beats, world music and urban grooves into the kind of soulful and supremely catchy dance floor funkiness that drives any audience wild. Whether he’s doing a Shirley Horn or Bill Evans remix, or collaborating with Kenny Dope or DJ Spinna, this master lays down the hottest beats in town. De Clive-Lowe plays MPC and Fender Rhodes, with backup from drummer Lil John Roberts and vocalist Bembe Segue.
