Formed November 2003 in East Vancouver by Sean Jones (Guitar/Vocals), Dan Esterreicher (Bass/Vocals), and Jeff Kolodychuk (Drums); "The Friends of Seven" decide to embark on their mission to create melodic post punk with a slightly progressive edge. "We met through an ad in the Georgia Straight." says Kolodychuk."Sean and Dan had ideas that needed some helping along. Fortunately, when I moved here from Edmonton with my girlfriend things fell apart and I needed an outlet. I was sad and pissed off. Sean and Dan were there for me and that was it. We are best friends and bandmates. This music we create is an outlet for all three of us. Because we were hanging out pretty much seven days of the week and going through our motions, we decided to call ourselves "The Friends of Seven".
