I came to Canada in 1966 from San Francisco area and with Andy Godon and Paul Rudolf formed the Fast Flying Vestibule in Vancouver. After a gig at the Afterthought in Vancouver with Blues X Five, we moved to Victoria in 1967. After both bands broke up, Moxie was formed with Norm MacPherson and Ron Flatman. Club Tango, White Eagle Hall, A Go Go, Flower Pot in Campbell River, and all up and down the Island. Great memories! Rob Deans, Ed Wright and Derek Walsh were all added at different times. We then formed a band, Hosanna, with Valdy and Calfornian Bob Konevich. Both bands did some recordings in Vancouver but alas, never released. After that with a bluegrass band, Northern Flyer, I moved to Calgary where I spent the next 38 years working for a record distributor and music director with CFAC radio. Then 5 years recording and touring with Ian Tyson. After that, my own band The Great Western Orchestra and now Cowboy Celtic, exploring the roots of western music relating to Scotland & Ireland. I'm now back in Victoria and still playing and recording with life long friend Norm MacPherson.
