After a few years and a number of member changes Civil Ruin has solidified a clear musical direction which is dedicated to brutality while not ignoring the groove and melodic influences that helped shape their direction. With an EP already recorded and the devastating brutality of the new tracks, Civil Ruin has decided to return to the studio in order to turn the EP into a full length with their new lineup. Their new sound will be sure to turn more than a few heads, not only in the Vancouver and BC metal scene but abroad as well. Given that the boys are aiming to do some intense touring in the summer of ’09, through Canada and the US once their new album drops. The new lineup consists of Kyle Wagner and Jeff Copple on guitar, Mark Iachetta on bass guitar, Paul Drummond on drums and Matt Alfke holding down vocals. The solidarity within the group has never been better and you can expect 2009 to be filled with relentless touring and all around good times.
