Montreal’s Chet Doxas is equally impressive as saxophonist, clarinetist and composer – not bad for someone who’s not yet 30! After performing with such renowned artists as Oliver Jones and Joe Lovano and appearing on over 80 CDs, it’s clear that this member of the Montreal Jazz Saxophone Quartet is one of the country’s most promising jazz artists. He is touring in support of his sophomore record, Big Sky, which is contemporary jazz at its most powerful and creative. Jim Doxas drums, Zack Lober bass, and Ben Charest guitar.
