About

Back Swing

Kingston's Back Swing is a high energy party band playing rock and country, blues and originals. The band boasts two outstanding lead and harmony vocalists: Jim Patterson (vocals, guitar, keys) and Rick Storms (vocals, bass, guitar), both formerly of the Jim Patterson Band. Their originals gained momentum on Canadian country music charts in the early 2000s. In addition to country and blues, Jim and Rick have extensive "rock" backgrounds.

In Back Swing, Rick and Jim are joined by Laura Anderson-Brick (vocals, electric accordion-synthesizer)—who adds a whole array of orchestral sounds including piano, organ, strings, horns, and synth—John Gamache (lead guitar), and Ron Reedy (drums). Back Swing chooses their sets based on venue and audience demographics, which is why they are able to play a wide variety of festivals, and venues. The band is fully light and sound equipped.
