This is Barrelhouse Blues Band’s very first promo shot, taken in the mid to late 70’s as we were loading into the Waterfront Corral. This was our first professional working band, that played and travelled all over B.C. We had so much Fun, and we were definitely “Living the Dream” and have many wonderful road stories. Kevin is on the (far right) and I’m 3rd from the right. We’re both wearing the hats, Kev was around 18 and I was 15years old… I was still too young to drive, we grew up 1 block away from each other and Kev had a Driver’s license and we went everywhere in his Mom’s old Vauxhall we called Agnes! I remember we were kind of going for a “The Band” vibe in this pic, and it was a Robbie Robertson phase for me… and I think with black and white photo we got it! Credit Rob Montgomery
