John Kernachan

"I met John at the Elmore's jams back in the day, maybe late 80s. A very kind, gentle soul, he was soft-spoken and very easy to like. Through the years I'd see him occasionally, there's some footage from our Hermann's jam in 1994. Many probably won't remember him but he was a fine blues drummer and he had played with Elmore's Bar & Grill." Dave Harris
"Our band , Elmores Bar & Grill had the great pleasure of playing with John, over a number of years. John was the real deal in terms of loving the blues. He didn’t play the blues because he wanted to be in our band, he played the blues because he loved the blues. He had quite the blues collection and would love to play us some of his more obscure albums. John was a very quiet man but he became very animated while sharing his music collection with us!
He had the shuffle down, no fancy fills, no solos, just a simple reliable shuffle.
