About

The Prids

Label: Luminal Records
The Prids officially began in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1998. But even further back a few years Mistina Keith (bass) and David Frederickson (guitar) had been concentrating intently on stretching a four-track to its limits. Envisioning a newer (wave) horizon, Jairus Smith (keyboards) and Lee Zeman (drums) stepped in to continue this DIY endeavor. The 'Duracraft' Ep as the resulting release.

In 2000, The Prids relocated to Portland, Oregon and almost immediately left it behind, back on tour. Along the line, the second Ep 'Glide, Screamer' took shape and was subsequently used to promote The Portland Mercury's compilation Cd. Shows began filling with color and strobe-lit fog.

After extensive national touring, the Prids have signed with Luminal Records. They can currently be found constructing their first full-length album - slated for Tax Day, April 15, 2003.
