I started with the band in 1957 at age 5 playing the triangle, age 6 playing drums, age 10 playing the clarinet until my Dad's death in 1965. I continued with music as a hobby playing drums, guitar and keyboard. My memories with the band were attending and playing at the BC Lions Football Game, The Portland Rose Bowl Parade and being presented by the mayor of Portland the first Kennedy 50 cents pieces, Port Angeles Parades, many Victoria May Day Parades as well as all the island venues. I believe at the time we were the youngest full marching band in Canada.
