Revelation Sound (formally The Abolitionists)

Revelation Sound (formally the called the Abolitionists)played at Victoria's 3rd Annual Ska Festival last year at the Victoria Curling Club. The band has jazz, ska and reggae influences with an added member to add a flare to their sound on the congas. Other musical influences in the band come from greats such as Peter Tosh, The Skatalites, The Slackers, The Ethiopians, Yabby You and Bob Andy. Members of the band finished recording some video and audio tracks with Chris Murray and Sam Tallo (from King Apparatus) at CBC Radio Sonic in March of 2002. Check out some of these tracks on the (CBC Radio Sonic and then click on Chris Murray) Notably, most of the members comprise one of the most talented Canadian rocksteady/reggae/ska bands - Chris Murray Combo that finished a national tour in October of 2002. Members of Revelation Sound have also been offered support for future endeavours by members of the Slackers.
