About

The Moon Riders

If you are a fan of classic country music, this show will bring back many fond memories of the time, and the great artists who ruled the radio waves.

The MOON RIDERS are the real deal - genuine country!

All three members grew up in homes where country was the centre of their musical world and is to this day! You can see it when they perform songs from icons such as:
Patsy Cline (I Fall to Pie...ces, Crazy, Leavin' On Your Mind, Tennesse Waltz, Walking After Midnight, Sweet Dreams)
Tammy Wynette (Stand By Your Man, Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad, Apartment #9)
Loretta Lynn (Wine, Women & Song, You Ain't Woman Enough, There He Goes)
Kitty Wells (It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels)
Wanda Jackson (Silver Threads and Golden Needles)
Dolly Parton (Jolene, Coat of Many Colors)
Hank Williams Sr (I Saw the LIght, Cold Cold Heart, Your Cheatin' Heart, Hey Good Lookin')
Merle Haggard (Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down, That's the Way Love Goes)
Johnny Cash (Ring of Fire, Big River, Jackson)
Ray Price (Crazy Arms)
and many more!!

The MOON RIDER vocalist, Sharon June Dudka, is the daughter of a super country fan, Mike Dudka, who made it his business to meet all these artists, even to the extent of going down to the US 1946-1952 to meet Hank Williams Sr. and did! Mike had a standing invite to the home of Kitty Wells and Johnny Wright after meeting them several times over years of touring. As a child, Sharon's father took her to many of these shows and states singing to be some of her earliest memories and is in her blood! Sharon shares her father's passion to this day and he often suggests songs for the band.

Gord Bigham, the band's talented guitar player, grew up in a home filled with country, bluegrass and gospel. His father was a steel player and the passion to play called Gord at an early age. With the Moon Riders, Gord comes back to his roots with style and attention to detail, making these songs come alive with those familiar notes that start the memories flooding back!

Blayne Bartleman plays the stand up bass and anchors the group with a robust sound that echo's the musician's of the era. Blayne's childhood home was filled with country music and while he has played others types, knows where his heart belongs.

The MOON RIDERS will take you back in time with an authentic sound that will have you tapping your feet and singing along. Come enjoy the memories!!
