Locals Only seeking photographs of Oaklands
Locals Only is a series of photography zines that articulate the experience of a place as explored over time, observing preoccupations and noticing patterns that define an area in order to express and question what it means to be a local.
Issue #3 of Locals Only will feature the neighborhood of Oaklands as seen through the lenses of those who live, work, and visit the area. This issue will be dedicated to collaborative placemaking and exploring the shared identity of a neighborhood.
We are seeking photographs of any type that speak to the identity of Oaklands. Help us define the neighborhood by using your camera to recognize and capture the unique aspects, trends, and patterns visible in the day-to-day community.
Selected photos will be printed in Locals Only Issue #3, to be distributed online and in print through businesses and little free libraries in the Oaklands neighborhood. Photographers included will be provided a personal copy of the printed zine by mail.
Guidelines:
- Submit up to five photographs
- Only one submission per person will be accepted
- JPG or TIFF file types are preferred
- File name for each photograph should include your full name
- Photographs containing nudity will not be accepted
Visit localsonlyzine.ca for more information, and to submit your photographs.
