TOURING, PROMOTIONS/MARKETING AND PERFORMANCE INITIATIVES

The Touring, Promotions/Marketing and Performance Initiatives program supports Indigenous artists, ensembles, and collectives undertaking touring, promotions, marketing and performance activities in Canada that will lead to enhanced professional opportunities.

The program will support the following initiatives:
Touring Opportunity within Canada: For Indigenous artists, ensembles, or collectives who have a minimum of three (3) paid tour dates within Canada that take place at three different venues in three different communities/cities. Grants available up to $6,000.
Promotional and/or Marketing activities: For Indigenous artists, ensembles or collectives that have released an EP, LP, or a minimum of two official singles (available on a public website) within the last 18 months. Grants available up to $4,000.
Performance at a Canadian Event: For Indigenous artists, ensembles or collectives to participate in an official showcase, national event or festival. Grants available up to $4,000.
Touring within Canada and Promotions/Marketing can be combined for a total of up to $10,000.
Canadian event, showcase or festival and Promotions/Marketing can be combined for a total of up to $8,000.

This program supports applicants with Indigenous ancestry, which includes First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. Registered Indian Status is not required. Applicants must be residents of B.C.

List a Physical Single Date or Recurring Event

For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.

List an Online Livestream Event

For online / livestream events. This will allow you to include a livestream url and have it featured in our livestream listings.

List an Ongoing Event

For events that run over a range of consecutive dates. i.e. Art show, museum show etc.

Submit a Profile to the Directory

List an Individual Artist / Artisan / Musician

(Painter, Carver, Dancer, Writer etc)

List an Arts Ensemble

(Band / Choir /Dance Troupe, Theatre Troupe, Artist Collective etc.)

List an Organization / Resource in the Directory

(organization, business, venue etc)

Submit Art

Submit a piece of Art

Add a photo / information on art by a local artist

Submit Public Art (Current)

Submit a piece of local public art to the gallery & map.

Submit Public Art (Historical)

Add a photos + info on pieces of public art that no longer exist to be included in the permanent public archive.

Add a video, which will be linked to profiles, and appear in the video feed
