The CRD Arts Development Service is accepting Project Grant applications until May 3, 2018. Project Grants support emerging or established arts organizations for new, recurring or developmental initiatives.
CRD Project Funding is intended for three types of arts-mandated, not-for-profit organizations:
1) Established arts organizations that work on a project-to-project basis.
2) New and emerging arts organizations.
3) Arts organizations undertaking special, one-time initiatives or unique or developmental projects.
Applicant organizations must be non-profit societies, registered in BC, have been active in the CRD for at least six months, and have programming in the arts as their primary mandate and purpose. Project Grants are not available to arts organizations who receive Annual Operating Assistance from the CRD.
The CRD Arts Development Service provides funding support to arts organizations through Operating and Project grants. The funding is provided on behalf of eight participating municipalities: Victoria, Saanich, Oak Bay, Esquimalt, View Royal, Metchosin, Highlands and Sidney. Although not a participant in the Service, the municipality of North Saanich has provided a donation in support of regional arts since 2013.
