Event Description
Renato Berlanda is a local international artist. Meet the artist before he leaves for Europe.
"I am Croatian. I was born in Bosnia. I started doing art after the war, and immigrated to Canada from Croatia in 1996. As a newcomer to Canada who didn’t speak English, art was a medium I could communicate in. While I have not had formal training in the arts, I have always been involved in designing, creating and building things. I have been mentored or apprenticed by others in the construction industry, or have been self-taught how to work with the materials used in my art."

The artist's exhibit is being held at the Avatar Experience Centre. The newest addition to the Harrison Green neighbourhood. Avatar is a healing gallery, it's Cool, it's New and it's innovative. Encompasses a mix of music, art and alternative wellness tools and resources, all under one roof.
