The Didi Society and Belfry Theatre present Create Local: Tackle Global, an art exhibition and sale to celebrate International Women’s Day 2016.
There will be an opening reception and exhibition preview on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5:30-8:30pm opening where guests will be able to meet the artists, purchase artwork and support The Didi Society projects, both local & international. Tickets for the opening reception are $25 and available through the Belfry Box Office: 250 385 6815 / on line: tickets.belfry.bc.ca
The general sale and exhibition will take place on Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 from 12-5pm. Admission is free.
This intimate exhibition features fine artwork by emerging artists and a selection of the most acclaimed artists on the Victoria scene.
Please join us for a unique opportunity to add to your collection of local art, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics and jewelry.
All of the artwork will be priced under or around $1,000, with 75% paid to the contributing artist and 25% to support The Didi Society.
The Didi Society is a Victoria-based non-profit that works to empower women globally through fair trade, and educate youth locally to be changemakers for social justice.
