The Victoria Book Prize Society is a non-profit organization that establishes the policy and criteria, appoints a jury, and administers the competition for the Annual City of Victoria Butler Book Prize and the Annual Bolen Books Children's Book Prize.
City of Victoria Butler Book Prize
Founded in 2004, the City of Victoria Butler Book Prize is a partnership between the City of Victoria and Brian Butler of Butler Brothers Supplies.
Authors and publishers from Greater Victoria were invited to participate in the annual event, which honours members of the literary community and awards a $5,000 prize to a Greater Victoria author for the best book published in the preceding year in the categories of poetry, non-fiction, and fiction.
Annual Bolen Books Children's Book Prize
In 2008, the Victoria Book Prize Society partnered with Bolen Books to establish an annual Bolen Books Children's Book Prize. The $5,000 award was created to provide authors of children and youth literature an increased opportunity for recognition.

For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
