On May 11, 2019 the annual Victoria Tartan Parade will take place to promote the Victoria Highland Games & Celtic Festival taking place the following weekend at Topaz Park. The parade will consist of up to 10 pipe bands, highland dancers, heavy event athletes, a float and members of a variety of local Scottish organizations and associated groups. Starting from Centennial Square at 11 am, the parade will be police-escorted down Government Street to the Legislature Lawns where the pipe bands perform, the highland fling is danced and the caber is tossed.
