Help Us Help You

Artsvictoria.ca is operated on a non-profit basis, with funding from the City of Victoria and administrative support from The Victoria Arts Preservation and Promotion Society and The Indivision Network

Basic listings are free to everyone. However, you can get a big promotion boost by running a poster on the site. Posters appear under your listing, as well as in the sidebar of the site long in advance of your event.

Currently poster placement is not for sale. It is  only available to those who help spread the word about ArtsVictoria.ca. You help spread the word, and we fill your account with ArtsVictoria poster credit, which you can use to run your posters.

Here’s a chart of some ways you can contribute, and how much poster credit you’ll receive:

Put a link on your website

25 credits a month / +25 per 1000 average monthly visits to your site

Put our logo on your event poster

30 credits / +30 per 250 posters printed

Tweet about one of our site features

25 credits / per 500 followers

Make, or share a facebook post

25 credits / per 500 page likes

Run an ad in your program guide

Based on the price from your rates ($1 = 1 ArtsVictoria Credit)

Hang our banner at your event

50 credits / +50 per 250 attendees (estimated)

When you upload your poster you choose a poster plan from the chart below. Each poster plan, gives you a different number of sidebar views (advance views in the right column) and listings views (your poster appearing under your listing in the daily listings. The "Best For" column is a suggested length for maximum coverage but our system will space your views out evenly from the start of the campaign to the day of your show, so you can use any plan over any time period.
