Caravan Stage Company is a volunteer-driven, non-profit theatre company based on a 90 foot tall ship, Amara Zee. The nomadic theatre company was started forty-eight years ago and spent its first twenty years as a horse-drawn caravan that toured Canada to Florida, and eventually Europe, on board the Caravan's version of a Thames River Sailing Barge.
The group hosts a rich and diverse International community of aerial artists, actors, musicians, audio and lighting specialists, riggers, engineers, costume designers and administration and event coordinators. All members collaborate on and contribute to all aspects of production of the stage shows and maintenance of the ship and its community. Though the organisation is a registered charity and relies on volunteers, all members are professionals in their individual fields.
The travelling troupe are passionate about land protection, climate change awareness, Indigenous rights and community action - themes that are central in the stories shared with their audiences.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
Non-profit run and created by the community, ArtsVictoria.ca integrates current event listings and multimedia arts portfolios, and creates an explorable, living archive of the arts in Victoria BC.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
