ADDING AVAILABILITY FROM A GOOGLE CALENDAR
Showing potential renters of your space, when you are already booked will cut down on administrative overhead.
If you already use a google calendar to handle your bookings this is easy to do. You don't need to show people what you have booked, simply that you are booked.
HOW TO SHOW AVAILABILTY ON THIS SITE
- On a computer, open Google Calendar. You can only get the info you need from a computer, not the Google Calendar app.
- In the top right, click Settings Settings.
- On the left side of the screen, click the name of the calendar you want to embed.
- Under "Access Permissions, check "Make Available to Public" and select "See only free/busy"
- Scroll down to Integrate Calendar, and copy the the Calendar ID
- Edit your venue profile on this site.
- Paste the calendar ID into the "Google Calendar ID" field, and hit update.
That's it. Now, your free/busy information will now appear in a calendar widget at the bottom of your profile on the site.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Only some of my booked slots are appearing.
On each Google calendar event, there is a field that toggles wether to show the time slot as free or busy. The field is represented by a briefcase icon. Edit the event and make sure this is set to Busy, unless of course you want to show that time as available.
