COUNTRY MUSIC
IT'S WHAT I LOVE
Growing up in Brandon Mb., I was exposed to a fair bit of country music in my early days. My mom is mainly to thank for that. She'd always have that old stereo cabinet playing an 8-track or a record from the likes of George Jones, Conway Twitty, John Denver or many of the other greats she loved. She was always singing along and I guess I was too.
As I entered my teens I stepped away from country music and into rock for nearly a couple decades. It wasn't till my mid thirties that a girl I started seeing was a big country fan. She made me a mixed CD of some of her favourites and I was soon hooked again on country and have never looked back ever since.
Although a big music fan I didn't start writing or playing my own music until more recent years.
Now it is a true passion of mine to write, play and perform music.
