A-Train has years of experience in all aspects of the music industry, and his charm exudes on stage through genuine expressions of music.
Laying bass-grooves across Canada, A-Train set the foundation for the widely popular group the Payolas with drummer Chris Taylor. He has shared the stage with Loverboy, Ann Mortifee and others, opening for pop legends like Brian Adams, Super Tramp, and Duran Duran over the course of his career in music.
Having an opportunity to work with the late Bruce Fairburn, and having studied with David Foster, A-train learned how to pay attention to the details of studio production. Inspired by soul artists such as James Brown, Sam Cook, Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye, “Life Time” is a smooth jazz, adult contemporary offering destined to perk up the ears of A/C listeners in Canada.
A-Train grew up making joyful noise every Sunday with the spirit of an entire congregation. The music, the people, the singing, the clapping and stomping of feet with that undeniable rhythm are the basis of A-Train’s adult contemporary music today.
If you ask him how he got the name “A-train,” he’ll tell you it came from band-mates who called it out when they wanted him to keep the drummer on tempo, like a train. From his Bachelor of Music Degree to his extensive touring history, A-Train’s drive and dedication to his musical accomplishments continues to keep him moving down the track!
