"Like no other, Linny combines imagination & expressive brushwork to create a magical world of contemporary nostalgia,
'Welcome to Linnyland!' "

Linny D Vine's distinctive contemporary paintings have gained worldwide attention with their unique style of wonk, quirk, colour and joy. Viewers of Linny's work say that they can’t help but smile, and her Collectors claim that the paintings not only make a room feel good but the people in it, too.

Linny’s work is often compared to the art of the Group of Seven, Emily Carr and Vincent van Gogh, like these historic artists her inspiration begins with the visual world and its beautiful, rhythmic patterns of colour and light, yet what distinguishes Linny's style is her ability to translate these sights and sensations into paintings that dance with a life and joy that is uniquely their own.

Whether Linny paints en plein air or in studio, with oil or with acrylic, her imaginative vision, exceptional design skills and expressive brushwork combine to create a magical world that celebrates the wonderful character and joyous imperfectness of life.

Linny has had numerous solo exhibitions and been featured in important group exhibitions in public and private galleries across Canada and the USA. Her paintings are treasured in Collections throughout the USA, Canada & Europe and draw admiration and smiles from round the world.

Linny was born in the spring of 1960 in Saskatoon SASK, grew up in and around Vancouver, and has lived in Victoria BC since 1992. 

Linny welcomes corporate and private commissions.
