And congratulations to all the bands who played - Crucifliction, Dead Asylum, & Without Mercy! Most everyone there (besides the judges) believed it could be a toss up between any of the bands. Say what you will, they've definitely put together worthy representation of quality Vancouver metal.

Whether these bands are your preference or not, the caliber of bands here has GOT to be the highest in Canada.

Crucifliction - Thrash fans, CHECK THOSE VOCALS! They definitely knew the genre well and knew what they were doing.

OmnisighT - I'd describe this as a really smooth Prog Metal set which definitely had the judges smitten - by unanimous decision is what they said.

Dead Asylum - A well earned crowd favorite who as usual LIT UP THE ROOM! We already know they shine on larger stages and could've easily taken on a Wacken crowd!

Without Mercy - A solid job of revvng up a tiring crowd, gave us insight into what they rage about, and told us what made their gramma in the crowd the most METAL person there. I was convinced, all 'round. THREE upcoming shows, one all ages, check them:
