About

Starvin' Hungry

STARVIN HUNGRY the Montreal-based band is fronted by John Milchem, twin brother of Blue Rodeo drummer and Swallows lead dude Glenn Milchem. Rounded out by a group of stellar Montreal rockers including ex-Soft Canyon bassist Dave Lavoie, the hard rocking four-piece band's philosophy, "Desire for sensory overload", defines their sound. Cranking out no-frills rock at maximum volume, the band's recently released Grenadine Records debut full-length "Damnesty" is loaded with strong songwriting, catchy hooks and tight playing; all captured in their sheetkicking glory by Bionic's Jonathan Cummins, (ex-Doughboys guitarist). Bombastically intense sounds influenced by bands from the Detroit and New York punk rock scenes meld into an explosive sonic vibe.
