Vic Theater: Bones of Crows

A 2022 Canadian drama that follows the journey of Aline Spears, whose resilience and courage rises from the haunting depths of the Indian residential school system to become a vital code talker during World War II. Marie Clements’ internationally awarded film of Cree code talker Aline Spears triumphs over the haunting past of Canada’s residential school system as she continues her family’s resilient fight against systemic hunger, discrimination, and sexual abuse. Screening only once at The Vic.
