Event Description

Formed in 2005 in the ancient tradition of soul clubs world wide, the
East Van Soul Club promotes soul related dance music throughout the
lower mainland.
Mr M & The All Nighters are Vancouver's favourite Northern Soul band
- playing a combination of classic and rare tunes from the 60's
onwards. You'll hear classics such as Tainted Love and Jackie
Wilson's Higher and Higher as well as rarities such as "Landslide"
and the Northern Soul stomper Frank Wilson's "Do I Love You?"

High Society are an off the wall 4 piece band, with variety in music
like no other, they have been described as James Brown and Nina
Simone on Crack! covering all the genres of soul, blues, R&B, hip
hop, folk, jazz, alternative, and they even throw in a little bit of
Bach! With lyrics that are either poetical and catchy or hilarious
stories that keeps the crowd on the edge of their seat this band is
not to be missed.

Katelyn Molgard is Vancouver's newest and brightest blues singer -
tried and tested busking on Granville St, Katelyn brings a whole new
voice to blues and soul. First performing in the two-piece garage/rock n roll
outfit Meandrics and The D.B. Buxton Group, she is now flying solo
performing a dynamic set infused with the raw power of blues and soul.
