Presents Blake Little in conversation with Wayne Baerwaldt
Wednesday, March 6, 7:30pm, Visual Arts Building, Room A150, UVic
Los Angeles-based fine art and celebrity photographer, Blake Little is coming to the University of Victoria to develop FLUID, an art project capturing the individuality and beauty of the gender fluid and trans communities. Over the last thirty-five years Blake has represented, with an honest intimacy, the energy of a wide range of portrait subjects including luminaries such as kd Lang, Tom Cruise, Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Samuel Jackson and many others, from all walks of life. Blake has produced art photography projects and commercial photography assignments for Vanity Fair, GQ, The New York Times, SONY, and many others. Wayne Baerwaldt, Michele Serada Artist in Residence for Socially Engaged Practice at the University of Regina, will engage Blake in a discussion of his career in image making for mass media sources and related aesthetic concerns.
