Event Description

On September 7th at 6pm dozens of the South Islands artists will be exhibiting their work. Visions of Metchosin is an art show and competition, highlighting artworks inspired by the dynamic and unique district of Metchosin. Emerging and established artists of all ages from southern Vancouver Island will be highlighted. The show will be held at the brand new Metchosin Art Gallery for the month of September. Visions of Metchosin will provide art lovers with different interpretations of the rural paradise where many of us work, live and play.

Everyone is encouraged to attend opening night celebrations of Visions of Metchosin at the Metchosin Art Gallery.

Artwork of all mediums, except for photography will be on display. Photographers will be participating in the concurrent Metchosin Day Photography Contest. Expect representational as well as abstract creations, which speak to a close-knit community situated in natural beauty. The show will run until September 23rd. The Metchosin Art Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday 12 – 5pm.

About the Metchosin Art Gallery

The Metchosin Art Gallery is a brand new non-profit gallery located in beautiful Metchosin British Columbia. The 1,000 square foot gallery is located within the old Metchosin school library. The MAG is a contemporary art space that supports the local arts community and offers innovative exhibitions, performances and artist talks.

The Metchosin Art Gallery is wheelchair accessible.
