Northern Quarter Visual Arts Exhibitions

Northern Quarter visual arts exhibitions are a chance for emerging and established artists to show their work in one of the city's premier food and music venues. Curated by artist Natalie Brake, shows are open to artists using all mediums, with preference given to local artists. We aim to provide exposure for artists while creating a space for great food, music and people to come together.

We are currently accepting submissions for FALL & WINTER 2019/20

Here are the guidelines:

Open to visual artists working in all media. All forms of visual art are eligible and work must be framed (due to our hanging system). The Northern Quarter prioritizes submissions from artists living in Victoria, BC.


SALES
All works in the show must be for sale. The Northern Quarter will take a 10% fee for credit card sales, otherwise, there is no commission on sales. Sale price is determined by the artist.

Submissions must include:
• 5-10 images of recent work. Images must be jpegs and no larger than 1.5 MB each.
• a list of works including name, title, medium, dimensions, and year (pdf file)
• artist’s statement
• all files must be sent together in one transfer, and must be named according to the guidelines listed here
• contact information


File names of digital images:
File names must be in the following format: 01initialstitle.jpg
(image number, applicant’s initials, title of the work).


GROUP SHOWS are welcome, please submit your idea.
