About

Fighting for Ithaca

FIGHTING FOR ITHACA - Drawing influences from bands such as Underoath, Killswitch Engage, Ten Second Epic, Halifax, Anberlin, Silverstein and 30 Seconds to Mars, Fighting For Ithaca's contagiously energized bouncy rhythms and hooky vocals are backed with solid live harmonies and stage show that features Patty's aggressive vocals. Tired of generic, outdated sounds in the local scene, frontman Curtis Steeksma searched desperately for musicians with more adventurous musical tastes. After an extended search, he found his bandmates: guitarist Ryan Pulfer, bassist Tommy Phoenix and drummer Curtis Mathias. When vocalist friend Patty joined the melee, the band's instant chemistry was cemented and has already begun to find its niche in the Vancouver scene.
