About

Hardly Soft

since circa 2005
You know when you hear a local band and they just kind of make you feel less than worthy? A band who really makes you feel like they are so much more than where they are now, and you know they are going to go somewhere... anywhere?? That is the feeling you get when you see Hardly Soft.
Hardly Soft is a hard-hitting, in-your-face, Rock N' Roll band! With the mesmerizing sound of Chris Tinney on guitar, Tommy Black's quick fingers and ability to hit every necessary note on his bass, the intense melodic sound of Justin Barbour's vocals, and Keagan Soutar, the newest addition to the Hardly Soft Family, never missing a beat on the drums. These four men combined make a sound that you are guaranteed to enjoy. Seeing them live is an experience that is sure to make you jump out of your seats, rush to the stage and join in the 'rocking'!
Hardly Soft, based in Victoria, BC, has been playing shows up and down Vancouver Island for a few years now and have gained a substantial fan base. In 2006, Hardly Soft placed third for Vancouver Island in Canada's Supernova Band Competition, as well as winning Vancouver Island's Up N Coming band search. They released their first 6-song EP in March of 2007 and after much success they are currently in studio recording their very first full-length album at The Audio Garage, to be released in the spring of 2009!

Make sure to keep your eyes and ears open for the West Coast's next kick ass rock n roll show!
