Salt Spring National Art Prize 2023/24
Since 2015, the Salt Spring National Art Prize has recognized and elevated contemporary Canadian visual artists. The 5th biennial prize offers $50,000 in total awards, including a separate $6,000 residency on Salt Spring Island, BC.
The Salt Spring National Art Prize is proud to be one of the most accessible art prizes in Canada:
• Open to all Canadian citizens or permanent residents over the age of 18
• Nominations not required
• More affordable entry fee than most Canadian art prizes
• Finalists receive financial support for shipping their artwork
Showcasing and promoting originality, quality, integrity, and creativity in contemporary Canadian visual art—we’re elevating art and artists across Canada.
