CALL TO ARTISTS

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
The City of Victoria is seeking artwork to display in kiosks in the downtown core from February 2022 through to January 2023. The Art in Kiosks program enhances everyday artistic encounters and conversations in public space. This program celebrates the creativity of local visual artists by providing temporary exhibition opportunities.

This Call is open to visual artists who are residents of the Capital Regional District including the Gulf Islands, working in various mediums and with varying levels of experience. Applicants will submit image files of 2D artworks (photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, digital artwork, textiles, beading, etc.), that can be output in a high-quality poster format for printing. The artist's fee for selected artwork is $500.

There are five kiosk locations, and up to ten artworks that may be selected for two display periods: February 2022 – July 2022, and August 2022 – January 2023.
