How does one go about defining a memory? Memories can crash upon us without warning. Or, they creep around the edges of our consciousness, barely comprehensible. In many ways, it is our memories that define who we are. However, the act of expressing a memory is not always a simple task.
For the fifth issue of UNTIL… magazine, we are asking for your interpretations on the theme of “memory.”
All submissions should be work created recently, or relating to the theme. Performance works can be submitted in video format. Visual art can be submitted as photo/video documentation. Please include a short bio (one sentence) and artist statement (max 50 words), along with the title, year, dimensions and medium of your work. Submissions will be reviewed by Victoria Arts Council staff and selected to be published in the fifth issue of UNTIL..., to be released on 10 June 2020.
