Call for Dance Works & Music Performances - Light Up the Hills

CALL FOR ARTISTS: Dance Works & Music Performances

PROPOSAL ENTRY DEADLINE:
Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 5:00 pm.

The West Shore Arts Council is inviting applications for dance works and music performances, to be
presented at the 4th Light Up the Hills Lantern Festival in Langford, BC on September 21, 2018.
We are specifically looking for dance or music proposals that have illumination as part of the
presentation. We request the work be a minimum 15 minutes in length. It is important to note that the
space for performance ----

 for music - will be 5 spots that are 8 X 8 (larger if musicians can adapt on grassy/pathway
area)

 for dance - will be one spot that is 40 X 30 on grass (in addition a station for music set up
in a 10 X 10 space (with tent is advised) will be allowed)

 for dance - will be one opportunity to perform eclectic dance pieces that unfold in
several different areas of the park during the festival along the pathway. These spots
would be small and on random surfaces such as grass, gravel and pavement. This would
require innovative use of small space. Please contact us before application for further
definition.

The West Shore Arts Council strives to continually reach out to include new artists in our various events.
If you are an individual or group (art installation or performers) who has not yet had an opportunity to
work with us, we would especially like to hear from you!
