Event Description

Carron Berkes Art Show at Hillside Coffee and Tea

Throughout the month of September at Hillside Coffee and Tea, local artist Carron Berkes will exhibit acrylic, watercolour and mixed media paintings. Berkes’ many colourful themes include the natural world (plants, animals and landscapes), abstraction, figurative and whimsical narratives. Works presented in this show are infused with simplicity and imagination—blending realism (The Rose) with abstractive, dreamy interpretations of the physical world (Daydream I). Her art is in private collections in Canada, Germany and America. Running until September 29th, the art show is a free community event, suitable for all ages and family members.

About Hillside Coffee and Tea

Located across from Hillside Shopping Centre with over 2,000 square feet of ample seating, of all different types, we have become home to students and locals alike. We're the place to meet whether for business or fun.

‎Hillside Coffee and Tea specializes in organic fair trade coffees, locally sourced organic teas and in-house baking and cooking from muffins and cakes to soups and sandwiches with lots of Gluten Free options. We are also fully licensed and serve locally brewed beers on tap along with wine, spirits and specialty drinks.

We boast long hours, live music, stand up comedy and a poetry night, which runs every Friday night starting September 9th with the exception of September 23rd. So if you're looking for a comfortable place to hang out any time of day, Hillside Coffee and Tea is sure to have what you're looking for.
