Art Journaling Workshop
An art journal is a journal or diary that has an artistic spin, an expression of your creativity and imagination. It's a journal for using art, to express yourself visually as well as in written form. How you create the art and what type of imagery you make or use, is personal choice. There are no rules. You can paint, collage or draw, use pens to doodle and write, play with photos, patterned papers, ephemera or stickers... anything goes. An art journal is a place to explore techniques and supplies, a personal artistic journey. Remember the journal can be just for you, or you can make it for someone special.
In this class we will make a journal using a simple booking binding technique. We will begin to explore ways to express ourselves creatively within these pages.
Bring any photos, found object, or anything that inspires that you may want to incorporate into your journal.
Instructor: Tammy Murdock from Embellish Studios
PREREQUISITE: NONE
DATE: Saturday November 15th, 2014 [2pm-5pm]
Fee: $40.00 including taxes & materials.
Space is limited and registration is required.
Tammy Murdock is a West Coast girl who has made Victoria her home for the past 23 years. She works in various mediums including acrylic paint, fabric and collage. Tammy has gained knowledge and experience through college, online professional development courses and collaborative artistic endeavours.
Her style has grown organically over time and she finds it an exciting never ending journey. Current working projects include art journaling as well as abstract painting with elements of collage.
