UNTIL... Issue 4: Home
An online publication brought to you by the Victoria Arts Council.
Over the past two months the notion of ‘home’ has been turned on its head. Cities around the world have dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic in various ways, including forced curfews and required sheltering-in-place. Many cities were effectively shut down completely. With this in mind, the VAC is seeking submissions on how artists’ concept of ‘home’ has shifted, been challenged or reinforced.
Is home a safe haven in uncertain times? Have you turned your home into a studio… or your studio into a home? Is home a space where you feel confined and alone? When is home dangerous?
For UNTIL issue 4, the VAC is seeking submissions of your interpretation or ‘Home’.
All submissions should be work created recently, or relating to the theme of “home.” Performance works can be submitted in video format. Visual art can be submitted as photo/video documentation. Please include a short bio (one sentence) and artist statement (max 50 words), along with the title, year, dimensions and medium of your work. Submissions will be reviewed by Victoria Arts Council staff and selected to be published in the fourth issue of UNTIL..., to be released on 27 May.
DEADLINE: May 20, 2020
