UNTIL... Issue 3: Resilience
Online publication presented by the Victoria Arts Council
Now more than a month into the quarantine / sheltering in place / social distancing, fatigue has begun to set in and we’re all wondering how much longer this will go on but more importantly what we’ll need to make it through. It seems RESILIENCE has long been understood as the capability to maintain in difficult circumstances or to ‘bounce back’ after being delivered a particularly hard blow.
For UNTIL… issue 3, the VAC is seeking your interpretations of what it is to exhibit resilience in these trying times.
How are you maintaining? Who, or What, are you relying on to help get you through? From where does your resilience emanate?
We are now accepting submissions of visual, literary, performance, and intermedia art. All submissions should be work created recently, or relating to the theme of “resilience.” Performance works can be submitted in video format. Visual art can be submitted as photo/video documentation. Please include a short bio (one sentence) and artist statement (max 50 words). Submissions will be reviewed by Victoria Arts Council staff and selected to be published in the third issue of UNTIL, to be released on 13 May.
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: 6 May 2020
