The District of Saanich, is seeking part-time instructors to provide visual arts instruction for programs at The Arts Centre at Cedar Hill.

Multiple Auxiliary Relief Positions
Varying shifts including late afternoons, evenings, weekends and possibly week-long camps based on program needs (hours/shifts are subject to change)
Bargaining Unit Position
Wage: $23.41/hour

The competition will remain open until successful candidates are hired.

The District of Saanich is seeking instructors to provide visual arts instruction for programs at The Arts Centre at Cedar Hill. Programs are offered in a variety of media for a range of ages and levels. Upcoming teaching opportunities may include: programs and summer camps for early childhood, school age and teens; adult classes and workshops in printmaking, mixed media, fine craft or other disciplines. Program planning, preparation and coordination will also be expected.

Requirements include minimum completion of Grade 10 and three months experience in art instruction; additional related certification and experience in art and art education is an asset. Requirements also include a satisfactory Police Information Check (PIC) with vulnerable sector check prior to being hired. All costs associated with the PIC search are the responsibility of the applicant.

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Saanich Recreation fills vacancies as needed through this competition and vacancies can occur throughout the year.
